Right of withdrawal

1. Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal you must inform us — {{VERKAEUFER_NAME}}, {{VERKAEUFER_STRASSE}}, {{VERKAEUFER_ORT}}, {{VERKAEUFER_LAND}}, email {{VERKAEUFER_MAIL}}, telephone {{VERKAEUFER_TELEFON}} — of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post, or an email). You may also use the “Withdraw from contract” button shown in your account next to every paid order. To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

2. How to withdraw

• Using the “Withdraw from contract” button in your account. It is shown there for every paid order; it takes you to a separate page on which you confirm the withdrawal.
• By email to {{VERKAEUFER_MAIL}} or by letter to {{VERKAEUFER_NAME}}, {{VERKAEUFER_STRASSE}}, {{VERKAEUFER_ORT}}, {{VERKAEUFER_LAND}} — informally, and you do not need to give a reason.
• Using the model withdrawal form in section 5. You are not obliged to use it.

Since 19 June 2026, § 356a of the German Civil Code requires an electronic withdrawal function — a prominently placed “Withdraw from contract” button with a separate confirmation step. It is in place on sideload.games: you will find it in your account next to every paid order. We confirm receipt of your declaration by email without undue delay. The routes by email, letter and the model form remain open alongside it — you are not obliged to use the button.

3. Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.

We initiate the reimbursement with the payment service provider you paid through. Which provider that is has not yet been determined as at the date of this notice; we will name it here before the first purchase is possible.

Upon withdrawal your right to use the title ends (§ 327p (1) of the German Civil Code). We revoke the licence for that title, which ends access in your library. This does not happen automatically when you declare your withdrawal; it happens once we have processed it. Files already downloaded may thereafter neither be used further nor made available to third parties — the titles carry no copy protection, so we cannot prevent this technically. You owe us no compensation for the value of any use made up to that point (§ 357a of the German Civil Code).

4. Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, your right of withdrawal expires early where all four of the following apply (§ 356 (6) no. 2 of the German Civil Code): we have begun providing the content; you have expressly consented to us beginning before the withdrawal period expires; you have confirmed that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal; and we have provided you with confirmation of the contract on a durable medium.

During checkout we obtain this consent by means of a separate checkbox that is not pre-ticked, and we record it together with your order. We send you the confirmation recording your consent as a receipt by email immediately after payment. For as long as we offer immediate downloads only, ticking the box is a precondition for ordering: without it, no order is placed. If the email does not arrive, you will see this in your account next to the order (“Confirmation wasn't delivered”) and can request it again there with “Send again”; after several failed attempts the button locks itself. If the confirmation does not reach you, the fourth condition is not met and your right of withdrawal remains intact — please contact us in that case.

5. Model withdrawal form

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you may fill in this form and send it back. You are not obliged to use it.
