The Sideload Promise v1.3
Marketing copy can be changed at any time — a dated, versioned document can't. That's why our commitments to developers are written down here. Changes get a new version number and are announced in the build log.
01
Payouts: on demand any time, automatically on the 5th — from €50
Every sale matures for 14 days — that's the buffer for refunds and chargebacks, after which the amount is final. Whatever has matured, you withdraw yourself whenever you want, as soon as your balance reaches €50; do nothing at all and the payout runs automatically on the 5th of each month. Payouts are bundled, not per sale — and you can raise your own threshold if you'd rather receive larger amounts at once. Routes: SEPA for EU studios, adult-friendly alternatives like Paxum for everyone else; this requires your payout details to be on file, because a credit note is a tax document. Every statement is itemised transparently: sales, VAT, payment fees, your share — including a receipt ID per sale and traceable reversals. Plus a self-serve dashboard with CSV export: you see your sales, refunds and payout status yourself, at any time — nothing to request, nothing to wait for, nobody to take on faith.
02
Payment fees capped at 5% — we absorb the rest
You are never charged more than 5% in payment fees. If our payment provider takes more, the difference comes out of our margin, not yours. That makes your share predictable in advance, no matter who ends up processing — and you don't carry the risk of an industry where adult-friendly providers cost well above the market average.
03
Your buyers pay easily — and discreetly
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard & co.) through specialised, adult-experienced payment providers — with a neutral billing descriptor. Also planned: openly declared crypto payments as an additional option. We build on payment rails nobody can switch off overnight.
04
No delisting without notice and a written reason
Except for violations of our content guidelines or applicable law, no title is removed without 30 days' notice and a written explanation. A no from us always comes with a why — that's the difference from the platforms Sideload exists because of.
05
Buyers keep their downloads — always
If a title leaves the store (no matter by whom or why), everyone who bought it keeps permanent access to their purchased builds. No vanishing libraries.
06
DRM-free, no exceptions
All sales are DRM-free. Your community owns what it buys.
07
No exclusivity, no chains
Keep selling wherever you want — itch, Steam, your own site, anywhere. Sideload is an additional shelf, not a cage. Leave any time with 30 days' notice; your buyers keep their downloads (see above).
08
Founding cohort: 10% — permanent and in writing
Day-one studios keep the 10% commission rate (on net receipts after VAT and payment fees) permanently — even when the standard rate later sits at 15%. This commitment becomes part of the founding agreement.
09
A human answers
Submissions, questions, problems: you get a reply from a human within 48 hours — not a ticket system. While Sideload is small, that human is the founder personally.
Prototype phase, honestly: the payment and payout system is not live yet. These points are the binding basis of the founding agreement every studio receives in writing before launch.
